The design is driven by a constant pursuit of efficiency. Its compact organisation brings the various functions together, shortens travel distances and simplifies every aspect of daily work. Storage areas, tack room, office, laundry, staff facilities and summer and winter paddocks are all precisely positioned within a building conceived as a highly functional working environment. Generous views from the occupied spaces allow the horses and the activity of the stable to be monitored naturally throughout the day.
The horse remains at the heart of the design. Generously proportioned, each stall opens directly onto a private outdoor run, providing greater freedom of movement, fresh air and daylight while allowing continued contact between horses. Natural ventilation, abundant daylight and clearly defined circulation routes contribute to a healthy, calm and safe environment for both the horses and the people who care for them.
This functional rigour never comes at the expense of architecture. Despite a carefully controlled construction budget, the stable retains a confident presence that reflects both the value of the horses it accommodates and the quality of the work carried out within it. Traditional equestrian materials are used with restraint and refined through carefully considered proportions, rhythmic façades and precise detailing.
